Math story 102 · Multiplication · Grade 3 · 0:35

## Read the story

What is 7 times 8? We split the problem.

First, 5 times 8. That's 40.

Then 2 times 8. That's 16.

Together: 40 plus 16 is 56. So 7 times 8 is 56.

**What is 7 times 6?**

## Answer and working

Correct! 5 times 6 is 30, and 2 times 6 is 12. 30 plus 12 is 42.
