Area and perimeter on the grid
Every square on these worksheets is one centimeter wide, so children can count, measure and check with a ruler. Area counts the squares inside a shape, perimeter measures the length around it. Working on both side by side helps children keep them apart.
How the worksheets work
Each worksheet has two A4 pages: a short example, five tasks, a brain teaser and one large drawing task. Page 2 has all the answers and a note for parents and teachers.
