Find the size of one group
For 42 ÷ 7, ask which number multiplied by 7 makes 42. Since 7 × 6 = 42, the answer is 6. This is not a task about subtracting 7 once; it asks how many equal groups of 7 fit into 42.
Check by multiplying back
The round uses divisors from 2 to 10 and quotients from 1 to 10, so each answer is a whole number. If you get 8 for 54 ÷ 6, check 6 × 8 = 48; it does not return to 54. The matching fact is 6 × 9 = 54, so the answer is 9.
