What does multiplying by 7 mean?

Multiplying by 7 means working with equal groups of seven. Four groups of seven contain 28 altogether. Repeated addition shows the same idea: add another seven for every new group.

A useful pattern

Each answer in the 7 times table is seven more than the answer before it. If you know that five groups of seven make 35, one more group gives you 42.

Why practise recall?

Understanding comes first. Short recall practice then frees up attention for longer problems, patterns, and new ideas. Take another web round whenever you want; an app install is never required.
